Why Should You Install Sliding Door Partitions?

Modern frame profiles are becoming thinner and thinner, and advanced rails ensure smooth opening. So modern sliding doors are frequently the best choice for a comfortable home. As the mechanisms used in them are extremely durable, such doors can be used for an extended time period without causing any problems. By the way, sliding doors are not only the most convenient but also the most fashionable option.

Elevate the Elegance of Your Home with Sliding Doors for Rooms

If you are still trying to decide why you should opt for modern sliding doors, below are some incredible benefits that will compel you to install these doors at the earliest!

  • Modernizing the Idea of Doors

For the longest time, we have consistently imagined doors to have a classic L shape, be made of hinges, and open outwards or inwards. However, the perception of doors is shifting as a result of the introduction of sliding doors in the market. Sliding doors for living rooms that open in the opposite direction don't need mechanical hardware, take up no extra space, and have altered how people perceive doors.

  • Ranks High on Functionality

Although sliding doors are a niche product, their popularity and demand have pushed door manufacturers to create unique and trendy variants suitable for any space. At raumplus, we provide high-quality sliding door systems that can withstand daily use without losing their charm and elegance. The glass used in our sliding door partition is much more robust, superior, and resilient than regular glass solutions, making it the ideal choice for improving security in your home.

  • Ability to Fit Anywhere

While most doors require a concrete wall and a solid foundation for proper installation, sliding doors can fit into any space. Places decorated with drywall or plasterboard, for example, are usually an afterthought because they are a quick, easy, and low-cost solution. Still, they cannot support the weight of heavy doors. Sliding doors for living room, on the other hand, are incredibly durable yet lightweight and can be easily installed into drywall without compromising efficiency. In fact, sliding doors for rooms can be installed in a variety of ways to ensure that they perfectly fit every space.

  • Space Saver

Certain rooms in our homes, such as walk-in closets, office cabins, or even kitchens, are frequently smaller than the rest of the space, making them appear cramped and dingy. Furthermore, because it opens adjacent to the wall, a standard door installation takes up a lot of space. Sliding door systems, on the other hand, glide along a parallel track and can even disappear behind a wall if carefully planned. This unique feature of sliding doors for rooms allows people to divide space in a home or office without the permanence of doors and walls while still providing the privacy that they require.

  • Plethora of Options

Not only do sliding doors come in a variety of installation methods, but they also come in a number of trendy variants that are ideal for decorating any type of space. Sliding folding doors, for example, are suitable for extremely small spaces.

So, if you're looking for premium-quality sliding door systems with top-tier aesthetics, contact raumplus to take advantage of our full-service offerings. To ensure enriched interiors and lifestyles, we provide professional guidance from the initial selection to the final installation. Get raumplus's expert consultation right away!

Bottom rolling Sliding Door

The bottom rolling sliding door is only guided in the top track. There is no hanging load on the ceiling. This design also allows installation under lightweight ceilings. The weight of the door (maximum 180 kg per door) rests on the floor track or on the rollers. These rollers always run smoothly even under heavy loads. This is guaranteed by the strict quality standards at raumplus. These are continuously checked for the rollers as well as for other components and tested in our test lab.

The top-hung AIR Sliding Door

The alternative to the principle of load distribution on the floor is the top-hung (AIR) system. It is a sliding door variant without a bottom track and thus offers barrier-free access to all rooms. In order to leave the floor surfaces untouched, the ceiling rail of the raumplus AIR sliding door bears the weight of the sliding door (maximum 60 kg per door). Only a barely visible guide fitting is mounted on the floor; it prevents the sliding door from swinging. Of course, a corresponding load-bearing capacity of the ceiling must be ensured on site.

DOOR HANDLES FOR SLIDING DOORS

Door handles are an inconspicuous but powerful design element in the creation of your personal sliding door.
The choice of handles depends on the previously defined profile series of the sliding door, for example S1200. We offer different door handle variants or handle types for sliding doors.

Floating handle

The floating handle for sliding doors of the S1200 series offers inconspicuous connectivity. Seemingly invisibly attached, it floats above the panel material without touching it.

6 good reasons for a sliding door

Sliding doors are space-saving and space-efficient

With the use of sliding doors, previously unused corners and niches become usable. It creates efficient storage space in corners, niches and sloping ceilings. Sliding doors ensure that everything is visually as desired and that the view of the interior remains hidden. The sliding doors can be guided past each other on rails, which means that no space is required in the room to open the doors. Unlike hinged and folding doors, sliding doors do not protrude into the room when they are open.

Sliding doors can disappear into walls and open spaces

Almost invisible room partitioning is achieved by using the pocket door. With it, the sliding door practically disappears into the wall. When open, the space behind the passage is visible. When the sliding door is closed, the view of the room behind it remains hidden.

Sliding doors open and close effortlessly and very quietly.

The components of sliding doors are very precise and technically advanced. They allow sliding doors to open and close effortlessly and almost silently. Regardless of whether we are talking about the ceiling-guided AIR variants or the floor- and ceiling-guided sliding doors.

Sliding doors offer accessibility

As ceiling-guided AIR variants, sliding doors are barrier-free because there is no need for a floor track at all. At raumplus, other profile systems can also be used with recessed floor tracks. These variants also ensure barrier-free crossing of the floor rails.

Sliding doors are suitable for installation in roof slopes

Sliding doors made to measure are manufactured individually according to the customer's requirements. This means that they can be used almost anywhere. Especially sloping roofs offer a lot of storage space when they become usable. With sliding doors you can create individual storage space, built-in wardrobes or walk-in solutions in the attic.

Synchronous opening of several doors is possible thanks to sliding doors

Technically ingenious, several sliding doors of a system can be opened by means of a synchronous mechanism and door carrier. The synchronous drive of a room divider has something modern and noble, for example, when used in the object area.

FAQ

The bottom rollers enable smooth sliding of the doors. The weight of the door is supported by the floor track or the rollers. Even under heavy loads, these rollers always run smoothly.

Sliding doors for home can be classified in the following categories:

  • Bottom rolling Sliding Door
  • The top-hung AIR Sliding Door

Sliding doors are designed to move horizontally on metal tracks attached to the top and bottom frames. The door is opened using rollers on the side. When opened, these shutter-like closings recede into a slot, not interfering with the exterior space. Sliding doors are a popular choice for areas leading to the backyard and patios today. Sliding doors for wardrobes and sliding door partitions are also popular.

Sliding glass door frames are made of aluminum. The internal portion/filling can be made from glass, mirror, solid wood, PU painted panel, acrylic etc. according to your needs.

Sliding doors for rooms offer great space-saving solutions, especially when demanding a little breeze of fresh air into your bedroom. Sliding door for a wardrobe requires less effort in opening and closing when compared to traditional wooden doors and can slide back into the wall or track, leaving enough area for passing by your bed.

When you search for a “sliding door maker near me”, the standard thickness for a pocket door will be about 2 inches, where the expected thickness of the sliding door partition should be around 4 inches thicker than the normal one. The width offered by sliding door manufacturers may vary, depending on the materials’ quality and the space used for installing the partition. Based on purpose, sliding doors for homes or offices will also make a difference in their specific measurements.

For properties with premium spaces, sliding doors require absolutely zero swing space. Sliding doors for the living room are ideal because they can open and close quickly, unlike standard doors that tend to disrupt the furniture. The sideway operation is such that even smaller rooms can accommodate such closets for perfect space-saving solutions.

When you look for “sliding door manufacturers near me” over the web, you get to witness how they all prioritize the space-saving potential as they are the slightest hindrance to the opening door design and remain intact on the wall. Hinged doors, however, will take up an entire area of your room, making movement chaotic for you. But modern sliding doors will glide on the tracks, offering a clutter-free, easy-going interior design solution.
